With the editor - Everything but the Face

Dee Wells needs to identify the man who attacked her and murdered her boyfriend – the only problem is… to Dee, everyone looks exactly the same.

Due to a head injury after an attack that killed her boyfriend, Dee Wells, a young New York artist and gallery owner, has been afflicted with an unusual condition known as “Prosopagnosia”, or “Face-blindness”.

To Dee, a person’s face is a combination of a frightening monstrosity and a total blank. Any one face looks like all the rest: the detectives, the doctor, the artists, her students, her lawyer, her recently returned ex-lover, and the one person she trusts, her sister Jill.

The police believe they have the killer, but need Dee to identify him in a line-up. Dee can’t identify him, nor can she tell them that she can’t (from fear that they’ll let him go). But, do the police have the right man? And does the killer know of Dee’s condition? If he does, he’ll know that he can stare Dee eye to eye and not be recognized.

Meanwhile, the police aren’t only confused as to why Dee won’t identify the suspect, but why the killer left her alive (which also confuses Dee).

Current Project - AIR

Reluctant government witness Denim Gazer disappears while under the guard of FBI Agents Hope and Elder before she can testify at trial later that day.

The rest of the FBI believes that Denim has escaped in order to avoid testifying against a killer who has threatened her, but Agent Hope alone believes that she’s been kidnapped.

In fact, Denim has been kidnapped by hired assassin Rolpho Kearns.  Rolpho takes her on a boat, chains her to a block of cement, and dumps her in the ocean (as per his instructions).

As Rolpho rides away, three strangers witness the act and get there in time to get air to her.

The three “good” Samaritans, who have their own agenda (and a disturbing connection to Rolpho), have to keep Denim alive and figure out a way to unchain her from the cement, while staying one step ahead of Rolpho (who quickly discovers that Denim is still alive).

Meanwhile, several surprising twists await Agent Hope, as he breaks all the rules to try and find Denim before the 4:00 deadline, when she’s to testify.

NOTE:  The entire story is set in one day (Denim wakes up at 8:00 am and must testify by 4:00 pm).
